Features three-level user management, 1500-point data storage, GLP printing and USB Type-C connectivity. Powered by a rechargeable lithium battery. Compact at 170×80×30 mm, 0.3 kg.

Product Description

The DDB-411 portable conductivity meter brings full multiparameter measurement capability to the field. In a compact 170×80×30 mm body weighing just 0.3 kg, it measures conductivity, resistivity, TDS, salinity and temperature with the same core specifications as the DDS-401 benchtop model — packaged for on-site use with a 3.5-inch color TFT touchscreen, rechargeable lithium battery and USB Type-C charging.

Unlike simpler portable conductivity testers, the DDB-411 includes a comprehensive feature set typically associated with benchtop instruments: three-level user management, 1500-point data storage, GLP-compliant printing and a built-in operation manual accessible via the “?” function. This makes it suitable not just for field spot-checks, but for regulated sampling programmes where data traceability and operator accountability are required alongside portability.

Automatic frequency and range switching and auto temperature compensation from -5.0°C to 110.0°C via the included T-820D probe ensure accurate readings across different sample types and environmental conditions. The DDB-411 is suited to water quality field sampling, environmental compliance monitoring, industrial process checks and any application requiring reliable conductivity data away from the laboratory bench.

FAQ

What is the difference between DDB-411 and DDS-401?

The DDB-411 is the portable version with a 3.5-inch touchscreen, rechargeable lithium battery, USB Type-C connectivity and three-level user management. The DDS-401 is a benchtop instrument with a traditional LCD display, RS232-only connectivity and no data storage or user management. Both measure conductivity, resistivity, TDS, salinity and temperature over the same range. Choose the DDB-411 for field use or when portability and data traceability are both required; choose the DDS-401 for fixed benchtop laboratory use with a traditional interface.

How long does the battery last on the DDB-411?

The DDB-411 is powered by a built-in rechargeable lithium battery (DC 5V) charged via the USB Type-C port. Battery life depends on display brightness, measurement frequency and backlight use. The same Type-C port is used for both charging and data transfer to a PC.

Does the DDB-411 support GLP printing in the field?

Yes. The DDB-411 supports GLP-compliant real-time and stored data printing via USB Type-C connection to a compatible printer. All printed records include date, time and operator ID for full data traceability. This makes it suitable for regulated field sampling programmes where hard-copy documentation is required on site.

Which electrode should I use for different applications?

The included DJS-1N (black, cell constant 1.0) covers 2–20000 μS/cm and suits most standard water quality applications. For low-conductivity samples below 2 μS/cm, use the optional DJS-0.1 electrode. For high-conductivity industrial process samples above 20000 μS/cm, use the optional DJS-10. Contact us for guidance on electrode selection for your specific sample type.

Can the DDB-411 be used in regulated field sampling programmes?

Yes. The combination of three-level user management with password protection, 1500-point data storage with date and time stamps, GLP-compliant printing and USB Type-C connectivity makes the DDB-411 well suited to regulated field sampling environments where operator accountability and data integrity are required alongside portability.

What is the difference between DDB-411 and the DDB-11A / DDB-1 / DDB-2 handheld models?

The DDB-411 is a full-featured portable instrument with a 3.5-inch touchscreen, data storage, GLP printing and user management. The DDB-11A, DDB-1 and DDB-2 are compact handheld meters with basic LCD displays, no data storage, no printing and simplified operation. Choose the DDB-411 for professional field use with data management requirements; choose the smaller handheld models for basic indicative conductivity readings where portability and simplicity are the priority.
