The DWS-19A is a precision fluoride ion meter for measuring fluoride (F–) concentration in aqueous solutions. Measuring range 0.019–19000 mg/L with Class 0.05 accuracy. Widely used in agriculture, food safety, pharmaceuticals, environmental protection and chemical analysis.
The DWS-19A fluoride ion meter is designed for accurate measurement of fluoride ion (F–) content in aqueous solutions. When the fluoride ion selective electrode is immersed in the sample, a potential is generated that directly indicates the fluoride concentration, readable in mg/L units. The instrument is straightforward to operate and suitable for both laboratory and routine testing environments.
The DWS-19A is used with a fluoride ion selective electrode (pF-1/232) and calomel reference electrode. It simultaneously displays pF values and F– concentration, providing flexible readout for both analytical and practical applications.

The DWS-19A measures fluoride ion (F–) concentration in aqueous solutions. It is widely used in agriculture (irrigation water and soil testing), food and beverage safety, pharmaceutical quality control, environmental monitoring (drinking water compliance, wastewater), and chemical analysis where fluoride content must be accurately determined.
The DWS-19A is used with the pF-1/232 fluoride ion selective electrode and a calomel reference electrode. Both are required for accurate measurement. The included electrode set is optimised for the instrument’s measurement range and accuracy specifications.
pF is the negative logarithm of fluoride ion activity, used in precise analytical and research applications. F– concentration is displayed directly in mg/L, which is more practical for regulatory compliance testing and direct comparison against drinking water or environmental standards. The DWS-19A displays both simultaneously.
The DWS-19A supports manual temperature compensation within a range of 0–60°C. Before measurement, enter the sample temperature manually to ensure accurate ion activity calculation. For samples at room temperature (20–25°C) with minimal variation, a single temperature entry at the start of a test session is sufficient.
The DWS-19A supports 1-point or 2-point calibration using standard fluoride ion solutions. Two-point calibration is recommended when measuring samples across a wide concentration range, as it improves accuracy at both high and low ends of the scale. Refer to the operation manual for recommended standard solution concentrations and step-by-step calibration procedure.
After each measurement, rinse the electrode thoroughly with distilled water and gently blot dry with a soft tissue — do not rub. When not in use, store the electrode dry (not in solution). Avoid contact with solutions containing surfactants or organic solvents. If electrode response becomes slow or inaccurate, condition the electrode by soaking briefly in a low-concentration fluoride standard solution before recalibration.
