Product Description

The MP Series precision balances are a comprehensive range of laboratory and industrial weighing instruments covering capacities from 100g to 6100g. With two readability options — 0.01g for higher-precision applications and 0.1g for larger-capacity general-purpose use — the MP Series provides a matched solution for sample preparation, formulation, quality control, piece counting and routine laboratory weighing across a wide range of industries.

Built for reliability in daily use, MP Series balances feature fast weighing with high stability, four-level adjustable shock resistance for use in vibration-prone environments, and a full-range tare function. Auto calibration, automatic fault diagnosis and enhanced overload protection reduce maintenance requirements and extend instrument service life. A built-in below-balance weighing hook allows density determination and under-balance weighing without additional equipment.

The MP Series supports multiple weighing modes including piece counting — for high-speed parts counting in quality control and manufacturing environments — and percentage weighing for formulation and recipe applications. Multiple unit conversion options (grams, ounces, carats and more) make it adaptable to different industry standards and international requirements. RS232 interface is available as an optional accessory for data output to a printer or PC.

FAQ

What is the difference between the MP####2 and MP####1 model series?

The MP####2 models (MP1002–MP5002) offer 0.01g readability with capacities from 100g to 500g — suited to applications requiring higher weighing resolution such as laboratory sample preparation, formulation and quality control of small quantities. The MP####1 models (MP2001–MP61001) offer 0.1g readability with capacities from 200g to 6100g — designed for larger-capacity general-purpose weighing, piece counting and industrial QC where a higher capacity range is more important than fine resolution.

What is the difference between MP Series and FA Series balances?

The MP Series are precision balances, offering readabilities of 0.01g or 0.1g across a wide capacity range up to 6100g. The FA Series are analytical balances with 0.1mg (0.0001g) readability — 100 times more precise than the MP####2 models — designed for high-accuracy scientific and pharmaceutical weighing in controlled environments. Choose the MP Series for general-purpose laboratory and industrial weighing; choose the FA Series when analytical-grade accuracy is required.

What weighing modes does the MP Series support?

MP Series balances support standard weighing (g), piece counting, percentage weighing and multiple unit conversion (grams, ounces, carats and others). Piece counting mode calculates the number of identical parts from a reference sample weight — useful for quality control and manufacturing. Percentage weighing displays the measured weight as a percentage of a reference value — useful for formulation and recipe applications.

How does the below-balance weighing hook work?

The built-in below-balance hook allows a sample to be suspended beneath the balance for density determination using the Archimedes method, or for weighing objects that are too large for the pan. The hook is integrated into the base of the instrument and requires no additional accessories for basic below-balance weighing.

Does the MP Series have auto calibration?

Yes. All MP Series models include auto calibration using an internal calibration mechanism. Regular auto calibration maintains weighing accuracy over time and across temperature changes. For applications requiring external calibration weight verification (such as ISO or GLP compliance), the calibration result can be recorded via the RS232 output to a connected printer or PC.

Is the RS232 interface included as standard?

The RS232 interface is an optional accessory on MP Series balances, not included as standard. It can be added for data output to a printer or PC for record keeping and GLP-style documentation. Contact us when ordering if RS232 output is required for your application.
